A HARDWORKING student has received outstanding results despite sitting them in some of the most challenging circumstances.
Siân Gaynor-Smith sat her A-levels while her father Edward was diagnosed with a terminal illness.
The RGS student, from Malvern, was awarded an incredible A*AA in Business, Geography and Psychology.
RGS Worcester students joined the rest of the nation today to celebrate A Level results day.

A spokesperson for RGS said: "Siân Gaynor-Smith sat her A Levels in the most challenging of circumstances as her father, local Malvern lawyer Edward Gaynor-Smith, was suffering from a terminal illness.
"Siân showed incredible strength to complete all of her exams and achieved A*AA in Business, Geography and Psychology A Levels."
Miss Gaynor-Smith will now be going to Cardiff University to study Criminology.
In Worcestershire, there were 7,265 grades awarded at grade C and above. This was lower than the national average of 75.3 per cent.

RGS Worcester had its largest-ever Year 13 group collecting their results this year, and the school is delighted to see them achieving offers for Universities and other courses.
Also celebrating today was GB athlete Alex Houchin, who competed and won a medal in the European Championships in Israel this month at the Under 20 level.
Mr Houchin is a 400 metre and 4x400 metre relay champion and despite the pressures of being part of Team GB during his exams, he was also awarded outstanding results.
He had achieved A*AB A Levels in Business, Politics and PE.
John Pitt, headmaster, said: “I am so pleased that our students have achieved such excellent examination results and their chosen destinations.
"I know the pressure of these exams (as a parent and as Head this year) and particularly for this year's group who did not sit GCSEs because of the pandemic.
"I am so pleased they have done so well and surpassed all pre-pandemic results. They have been a superb Year group and our biggest ever – they will go on to achieve great things – many congratulations.”
