CRIME was down slightly new figures released by West Mercia Police have revealed.
The latest data, which reveals the types of crime reported as well as their location, shows there were 1,025 crimes reported across Worcester in June - the latest month of data released by the force.
The figure is down on the month before when there were 1,069 crimes in May.
In further comparison in April there were 1,050 crimes reported; 998 in March, 1,008 in February and 1,147 in January.
The most common crime type in June was violent and sexual offences which had 315 crimes.
The second most reported crime type that month was anti-social behaviour with 191 reports.
And the third most reported crime type that month was shoplifting which had 138 reports.

The crime types are the same as the month before - in May there were 336 violent and sexual offences; 187 anti-social behaviour and 151 shoplifting reports.
In June there were eight robberies, 28 drug offences, 30 burglaries and 74 reports of criminal damage and arson.
There were 76 public order offences including in Wordsworth Avenue, St Paul's Street, Tiverton Close and Manning Place.
Among the roads reported as having burglaries were Brockhampton Close, The Hill Avenue, Laugherne Road and The Lane.
