A MASSIVE team effort helped to prepare a closed city nightspot for reopening with a fresh new look in just a week.
Ryan Maund, who also runs The Swan in Barbourne and The Oak Apple, worked around the clock with his team to transform The Courtyard in St Nicholas Street.
Mr Maund said the venue now has a relaxed and chilled atmosphere and aims to be an upmarket bar and kitchen with cocktail masterclasses and brunches.

"When we opened, I felt relaxed," Mr Maund joked while explaining the trials and tribulations behind the refurbishment.
"We had a week to open and each day you changed something, it made things harder.
"The more we did, the more we had to do.
"In a week, the amount of work that needed to be done and the support I had from family and friends was amazing.
"It was such a quick turnaround."
Mr Maund and his team worked on the project from 8am to 4am daily to prepare The Courtyard in time.
The venue has received a completely new look and has a new cocktail bar, lights, and sound system as well as flower walls for selfies.

It also has got a new pool table and gambling machines.
Mr Maund said on weekdays he wanted the venue to host brunches with people playing pool and having cocktails and then on the weekends it turns into a "party vibe".
Mr Maund added: "The venue was very dark before so we lightened and softened it.
"It has a completely new sound system, lights and lasers to create a nice atmosphere in the courtyard."
Since hosting its soft launch on Thursday (August 3), Mr Maund said the venue has been really busy.
On August 4, the venue welcomed Ricci G from Geordie Shore to do a DJ set which he said was really popular.
"It has all really paid off, and the opening week was really busy.
"Thursday was our soft launch and, in all honesty, we had no issues.
"It is nice to have the venue finally open and to take a step back and admire what we did."
