A RESIDENTIAL road in Worcester has been tarmacked after long-standing frustration from residents.
Developer Elan Homes moved to improve the road - which was beset with large bumps, potholes and traffic cones - after we reported on the situation.
Colin Jones, of Oakmont Drive, near Newtown Road, said he had moved into his new home on September 25, 2020, and had been waiting for his road to be tarmacked ever since.
Mr Jones has now thanked developer Elan Homes.
He said: "Thank you to Elan Homes for carrying out the work and I hope it's not another three years before the landscaping is done.
"I am really pleased to have a proper road now."

A spokesperson for Elan Homes said the work began earlier this month but there is still some more work to do to finish the road.
They said: “Works to complete the roads at our Stableford development in Worcester began on Wednesday, August 2 and are ongoing.
"Our groundworks contractor is due to finish topping the final section of the footpath this week. We can only apologise for the delays, which were exacerbated by materials and labour shortages.
"We assure people that we remain committed to completing the development as soon as possible and in line with the agreements in place with Worcestershire County Council and Severn Trent Water.”
A spokesperson for Worcestershire County Council reiterated comments it had made previously, saying: “We can confirm that the site is not yet adopted.

"We can also confirm that the developer is undertaking significant remedial work onsite at the request of the county council, to ensure the finished development meets the required Highway standards.”
The Stableford estate consists of a collection of contemporary three, four and five-bedroom homes.
Elan Homes is a privately-owned business building homes in Worcestershire, Cheshire, Merseyside, Greater Manchester, Flintshire, Lancashire, Somerset, Devon and Staffordshire.
