SCORES of Worcester homes have been affected by a power cut.
The power cut had affected residents in the WR1 area and had lasted over an hour, according to a resident.
A resident said: "We had a huge power cut for 1hr at 11pm tonight.
"All of the Tything, Sidbury, Pierpoint Street, Sansome Walk, Little Southfield Street and Lowesmoor were in a complete blackout.
"Crowds were forming in the streets.
"Engineers were here within 20 minutes."
Power was restored at 12.30am this morning (Tuesday).
A spokesperson for National Grid said: "We're sorry to customers affected by the power cut in Worcester, WR1 and the surrounding area.
"We estimate that all customers will have power restored by 12.30."
