A HISTORIC city centre pub is set to reopen soon in Worcester under new ownership.
New owners have taken over The Pheasant, on New Street, and are gearing up for the reopening of the venue.
Although an official opening date has not yet been confirmed, a recent social media post said the new owners were aiming to open by early September.
On Thursday, July 27, the pub updated its Facebook page with a new profile picture teasing the re-opening and saying "With us taking the keys to this beautiful old pub, The Pheasant is looking for a new team of hospitality professionals."

Since then, appeals for new employees have been posted online and in front of the pub.
A spokesperson said: "We’ll be working really hard to get The Pheasant back to where it should be with a lick of paint, a good clean and clearance, putting together our drinks menus including wine and cocktails lists.
"We’re going to do our best to offer food straightaway, but this may be delayed whilst the kitchen is brought up to our standard.
"We can’t wait to open this fabulous pub and look forward to seeing you all as soon as possible."
The pub also said they want to hear from local darts, skittles and pool teams as a possible new base and it is also looking for musicians.
The spokesperson said: "We’re looking for live music acts and DJs - possibly with a view to becoming our resident weekly DJ.
"Hopefully, phone lines will be up and running by next week so in the meantime if you’d be interested in joining our team please forward your contact details along with your CV to our email address."
Earlier this year, a post on the pub’s Instagram on Saturday, January 28 announced that it would have to close for several days due to “reasons beyond our control”.
However, on Thursday, February 2, the pub posted again to say that they would be shutting down.

According to Historic England, the timber-framed inn is a "notable survival" of late 16th-century townhouses, having been built in 1580.
In 1954, it was officially recognised as a listed building.
We have contacted The Pheasant for more information.
