A NEW café is under construction in the heart of a village near Worcester.
No.1 Brownes Way is currently being built in the village of Hallow, next to Ladygo Stores, off the A443.
Ladygo Stores has been a family-run business since the 1990s, and the café is being run by the same family.
The project is being taken on by the manager of Ladygo Stores, Thomas Baldwin, who is excited about the new venture.
The business would be filling a gap in the village, which currently does not have a designated café.

Mr Baldwin said: "It has been three years in the making. It is something I feel will be massively important for the community as somewhere to meet friends and family with a coffee and a cake.
"The work is going really well so far and we are aiming for an October opening date. All the locals have seemed really happy with the news as well which is very encouraging.
"We are all very close here in Hallow, there is a lovely community around the village and we maintain a lot of close relationships with people at the shop.
"It is an exciting project for me and the support we have been getting is a real boost."
Fencing has been erected around the perimeter of the building site as the cafe begins to take shape.
Ladygo Stores is a convenience store selling a wide range of products.
