A PILE of rubbish was on fire in a countryside lane near Ombersley.
Firefighters were called to Boreley Lane in Ombersley to put out the flames on Saturday afternoon (July 29).
A spokesperson from Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said firefighters were called out to a fire in the open near Ombersley just before 12pm.
The said: “One Droitwich Fire Station crew attended Boreley Lane where a small refuse fire measuring approximately nine square metres was extinguished using a hose reel jet.
“There were no casualties and the crew left the scene at 12.18pm.”
