A 50-YEAR-old man has admitted stealing springs from a county firm he was working for.
A court heard Steven Shaw, of Dunhampstead, near Droitwich, stole numerous products from a Worcestershire spring manufacturer.
Shaw admitted theft by employee when he appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on Tuesday, (July 18).
The charge says Shaw stole a number of products, particularly springs, from Redditch-based manufacturer Springmasters between August 18, 2021, and October 19 last year.
No value has been given in court on how much Shaw stole.
Michelle Edwards, chair of the magistrates bench, told Shaw to attend his sentencing at Worcester Crown Court on August 18 this year.
Shaw was given unconditional bail.
Sanna Hussain prosecuted while Paul Stanley appeared for the defence during the court hearing.
Note: A previous version of this article read that the offences took place between August and October this year.
We have changed this as the offence admitted took place between August 2021 and October 2022.
