COSTA COFFEE has provided clarity over its new location in Worcester city centre.
The coffee shop chain is moving into the former Paperchase store on High Street, with another location already on High Street opposite the Guildhall, next to the Odeon Cinema in Foregate Street and in St Martin’s Quarter.
However, the brand has now officially confirmed that its other High Street store will close its doors in late Autumn.

A spokesperson for Costa Coffee said: “We can confirm that we are moving our Costa Coffee store from 31 High Street, to just down the street on 51 High Street, Worcester.
"We’re excited to open the doors of the new store in late Autumn, offering customers an uplifted, bright design with modern furniture.
"As the nation’s favourite coffee shop, we are proud of the roles our teams and stores play in making a meaningful contribution to communities and high streets.
"Team members from the old store will be relocating to the new store ready to welcome back their customers for their favourite handcrafted Costa coffees.”
An opening date for the new branch has not yet been confirmed by the chain.

Renovations on the inside of the building have not yet started, with the former Paperchase layout still visible from the outside.
One of the posters reads: "We're brewing something new. Worcester, we're opening your brand new store soon."
Paperchase went into administration in January this year, putting all of its 106 stores under threat.
The struggling stationery shop had been on the brink of administration a year earlier with most of its stores closed over Christmas because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Tesco stepped in to buy the Paperchase brand, but its shops were left to go under.
Worcester city centre also has other major chain cafes such as two Cafe Nero locations and two Starbucks locations.
