The following cases were heard at Worcester Magistrates Court.

 

GARETH DYAS, of Gains Road, Whitbourne near Worcester admitted possession of a knife, criminal damage and possession of a Class B drug, cannabis.

The 32-year-old had the Stanley-style locking blade knife in Henwick Road, Worcester, on March 18 this year. 

On the same date, he damaged a letterbox on the front door of a property in the road, and was also caught with the cannabis. 

Dyas was given an 18-month community order which requires he completes a six-month alcohol treatment and 30 rehabilitation activity requirement days.

Dyas was fined £100 and ordered to pay costs of £135 and victim surcharge of £114. 

 

CHRISTOPHER KEYLOCK, of Evesham Road, Cleeve Prior, admitted using threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behaviour with the intent to cause fear of or provoke unlawful violence.

The offence was committed on February 27 this year in Evesham. 

The 54-year-old was fined £100 and ordered to pay £100 compensation. 

 

ANDREI MIRICA, of Canterbury Road, Worcester, admitted drink driving. 

The 27-year-old committed the offence in Plantation Drive, Worcester, on June 24 this year. The evidential sample was 53mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath - the legal limit being 35mcg. 

Mirica was disqualified from driving for 15 months. 

The defendant was offered the chance to do the drink-drive awareness course which, if successfully completed, would reduce the ban length by 15 months.

Mirica was fined £333 and ordered to pay costs of £135 and victim surcharge of £133. 

 

STEVEN JONES, of Lavender Meadow, Upton-upon-Severn, admitted using threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of or provoke unlawful violence. 

The offence took place on November 22 last year in William Tennant Way, Upton. 

The 41-year-old was jailed for 12 weeks, suspended for a year - magistrates finding the offence was so serious only a custodial sentence could be justified in his case. 

Jones was also ordered to pay costs of £135. 

 

GABRIELLE WILLIAMS, of Woodyatt Court, Court Road, Malvern, admitted drink driving.

The 20-year-old committed the offence on January 19 this year in Worcester Road, Malvern. 

Williams was disqualified from driving for a year which will be reduced by three months if she successfully completes a drink-drive awareness course.

Williams was fined £100 and told to pay costs of £85, and victim surcharge of £40. 

 

MATTHEW BLOWER, of Fountain Court, Great Witley near Worcester, admitted drink driving. 

The 20-year-old commited the offence in Martley Road, Lower Broadheath on June 28 this year. 

Blower was disqualified from driving for 15 months, which will be reduced by 15 weeks if a drink-drive awareness course is successfully completed. 

The defendant was fined £275, and told to pay costs of £135 and £110 victim surcharge.
