A FAMILY-RUN Chinese takeaway has closed its doors with "immediate effect".
Owners of The Rainbow Chinese have apologised from the 'deepest parts of their hearts' for the closure and any inconvenience it has caused.
The Rainbow Chinese has been a family-run affair for six years since its current owners took over the business from Po Yau in 2017.

It has been a team effort since, with a close and extended family running the takeaway out of the building on Ombersley Road, which is next to the former cinema.
A spokesperson for the takeaway said: "We are sorry to inform you all that we have decided to close our doors indefinitely from immediate effect.
"It has been an incredibly difficult decision and definitely hasn't been easy.
"We have so many wonderful supportive customers that we so so enjoy speaking to on a weekly basis.
"I sincerely apologise from the deepest parts of my heart and am sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.
"Back in February 2017, we took over from an old family friend Po Yau.
"With my dad already working at The Rainbow, we decided we would continue service.

"We eventually roped in my speedy uncle (who worked at The Rainbow for many years previously) and my chilled cousin in the kitchen.
"With my amazing friend, Nat was manning the front of the house and my mum too.
"It has been quite a family affair."
The team at The Rainbow Chinese added that they had had a blast with all its customers and that it had been an honour and a pleasure to share its passion for food with everyone.
Many of The Rainbow Chinese customers have shared their sadness on Facebook after they heard the news.
One said: "Best Chinese takeaway in town!
"Now, what are we going to do?? We have been with you for over 30 years, give or take.
"Whatever the reason, myself and my family wish you God speed and stay well.
"Please let us all know if or when you come back."
