HUNGRY customers were left disappointed after a popular city carvery restaurant ran out of meat.
Toby Carvery, on Bath Road, had to turn away disappointed customers yesterday evening (Wednesday, July 12) after running out of food.
A queue for the restaurant had formed outside the door following a £5 carvery voucher offer that was valid between Wednesday, July 11 and today (July 13).
A manager for the restaurant told the customers waiting outside that there was no food left at the carvery, prompting the queue of people to head back to the car park and leave.

Danny Taylor got a taxi to the restaurant from St John's with his partner, only to be told he could not eat at the restaurant.
He said: "It cost us money to get there and we had to walk home and get a Chinese takeaway instead.
"It was supposed to be a cheap meal. It ruined our night as we rarely get a night off. It totally wasted our time and I guarantee it will happen again tonight with this promotion.
Another customer, who wished to remain anonymous, said: "We were queuing outside the restaurant for about 20 minutes before they told us they had run out of food.
"It was pretty frustrating as we had booked our table the day before."
The online offer entitled a £5 carvery per customer once a day over the three-day period.
A spokesperson for the Toby Carvery Worcester: “Due to the success of a recent Toby Carvery £5 off voucher the restaurant was busier than usual on the night in question.
"We were able to accommodate all guests who had booked to dine with us in advance, however, due to demand, on this occasion, we weren’t able to accommodate some guests who arrived without a booking.
“To avoid disappointment in future, we do recommend that guests dining with us book ahead, either by calling us directly or via the website.”
Mitchell and Butler is the parent company of Toby Carvery.
