"EXTENSIVE renovations" at a city centre car park are nearing completion.
Levels seven and eight at Crowngate Car Park have been closed for renovation work since last year, but the rest of the car park has remained open.
A date has not yet been revealed for when the levels are set to reopen, but Michael Lloyd, the centre manager for Crowngate Shopping Centre, said the work is almost finished.
Crowngate has promised customers some 'larger spaces' as part of the work, which was expected to be completed in June.
Mr Lloyd said: "Levels seven and eight of Crowngate Car Park have been temporarily closed to facilitate extensive renovations and enhancements aimed at significantly improving convenience, safety, and overall customer satisfaction.
"With this work nearing completion, we anticipate re-opening these levels in the coming weeks, providing customers with an improved parking experience."

In November 2022, a spokesperson said Crowngate Shopping Centre was undertaking a programme of works to refurbish areas of the shopping centre.
The work included all external staircases being given a general uplift including lighting and installing safety rails.
Crowngate Shopping Centre also said that it would be increasing its offering of "larger spaces" within the scope of the work it is currently undertaking, which is why there has been "disruption" on some levels.
We are also increasing this offering of larger spaces within the scope of works we are undertaking at the moment on the car park, which is why you will have no doubt seen some disruption on some levels. We hope to have this completed in June. Many thanks, Crowngate Team (2/)

Crowngate Car Park uses a ticketless system, where you enter your number plate at the machines to pay when you’re leaving.
The car park also has the Safer Parking Award, meaning it has been assessed by the police and there are measures in place to deter criminal activity.
