A man has been charged with drink-driving after a car crashed into a lamppost in Worcester.
Police officers arrested a man at the scene of an incident in Ennerdale Close at about 9am yesterday (Sunday, July 9).
A fire service spokesman said: “Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service was called out to a fuel spill after a road traffic collision in Worcester at 8.59am on Sunday.
“One Worcester Fire Station crew attended Ennerdale Close where one car had hit a street light.

“The car was made safe and it turned out the leak on the carriageway was coolant from the vehicle’s radiator.
“It was washed down using one hose reel jet and the incident was left with the police for vehicle recovery at 9.21am.
“There were no casualties.”
Thomas Iredale, 27, of Mason Road in Worcester, has been charged with drink-driving, a West Mercia Police spokesperson said.
He is bailed to appear at Worcester Magistrates’ Court on July 27, 2023.
