A YOUNG girl got stuck waist-deep in a 'swamp area' near Worcester.
Firefighters dashed to the rescue and pulled out a girl who had become stuck in a swamp area of Herdwick Close in Fernhill Heath.
Fire crews had to use two triple extension ladders in order to get the girl out of the swamp just after 12.30pm on Wednesday (July 5).
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue services said: "Crews were called out to rescue from an unstable surface in Fernhill Heath at 12.35pm today.

"Two Worcester Fire Station crews and colleagues from Droitwich attended a pond and swamp area off Herdwick Close.
"A girl was stuck up to her waist in the swamp and water.
"She was rescued using triple extension ladders before being assessed by the ambulance service (log number 1636).
"The final HWFRS crew left the scene at 1.50pm."
