THE DOORS of a popular cafe that "brought something different" to the city will close for good - but it is not the end for the business.

Clint Webbe and Matt Haley of Neighbourhood Deli will be shutting its Reindeer Court cafe in a week after four years.

Reviewers have called the cafe "so good it belongs on everyone's bucket list" and that the cafe brought something different.

As the cost of living crisis continues to bite, the owners have decided to close the doors of their little cafe and hit the road.

The business is not closing and people will still be able to get their coffee fix from their new mobile van.

A former AA bright yellow Volkswagon van is set to become the new home of Neighbourhood Deli.

The restaurant will officially close on Sunday (July 9). This week Mr Webbe said they will be serving their most famous sandwiches.

Mr Webbe said: "It has been a long four years and it's been a strange struggle.

"But we are dreamers, we've always been dreamers.

"Our original idea was to open up a little deli selling cheese, kombucha and other things and doing pop-ups at the same time.

"We said we would give the deli a year or so. But we don't have rich parents or funding from a millionaire.

"The cost of living crisis is constantly going up."

The team has been running pop-up events alongside Neighbourhood for the past few years but will now make it their focus.

"We have a barbecue and a bright yellow T4 Volxwagen van that used to be an AA van.

"We hope to travel the country in that.

"In the future, we would like to travel to different countries and do something in France."

Mr Webbe also runs Pizza Freakz on Pump Street and he has experience in serving food in Worcester for the past 10 years.

He said: "We've had hundreds of messages after we announced our news.

"Everyone is feeling it [cost of living crisis].

"We're just never going to make enough money in that shop because it is 15 seats.

"We want to start going to food festivals in London and Birmingham.

"We're expanding the business without being anchored to one place."
