A MAN was tasered by police after acting aggressively near the city centre.
The man was arrested for being drunk and disorderly as well as assaulting an emergency worker near Tesco Express on Forgate Street.
Officers at Worcester Forgate Street Railway Station were alerted to a man acting aggressively in the city and apprehended the man on Friday (June 30).
West Mercia Police said it helped British Transport Police conduct the arrest.
The man has been released on bail, and enquiries are ongoing.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "Officers were at Worcester Station at 8.28pm on June 30 when they were alerted to a member of the public acting aggressively.
"A man was arrested for being drunk and disorderly and assaulting an emergency worker.
"A Taser was drawn and used.
"The man has been released on bail, and enquiries are ongoing."
