A MANHUNT has been launched to find a man who did not turn up to court.
Kyle Francis, of Wylds Lane, Worcester, was meant to be sentenced for criminal damage and two charges of assault by beating of an emergency worker.
The 25-year-old had appeared at two previous hearings and was warned he must attend the hearing on Monday, (July 3).
But when his case was called on by the court clerk it quickly became apparent Francis was not at Worcester Magistrates Court.
Susan Mitchell, chairman of the magistrates bench, issued a warrant for his arrest.
We previously reported Francis assaulted PC Hearn and smeared faeces on the spyhole used to look into the cell when he was in custody.
Both those offences took place on May 31 this year.
A month earlier Francis had also assaulted PC Barletta.
Francis' sentencing was originally adjourned for the defendant to have a pre-sentence report.

But at the last hearing of the case on June 22 probation service representative Jayne Stewart told the court there had been three attempts to interview Francis for the report - but the defendant had not taken part in any.
"We wouldn't be offering any more," the representative added.
Earlier this year we reported on Francis when he stole a basket of items from Tesco Express in London Road - but ran straight into the arms of a waiting police officer.
Magistrates fined him £90 which was added to the hundreds of pounds the defendant already owes the courts from past offending.
In 2020 he was also in court after being caught stealing knives and grooming products from Wilko and having Class A drugs.
