AN 'OUTSTANDING' nursery has taken on a second site with big plans for the future.
Little Lodge Nursery, on Swinesherd Way, Spetchley, took over the former Little Growbags Nursery in Bransford.
Vivek Shah, co-owner and co-director of the nursery who runs the business with Khilan Dhan, said the success of its first site meant the business was able to grow.
He said: "We have owned and operated our site in Worcester for the last three and a half years, growing from a seven-staff team to a team of 42.
"We have worked hard and the business was in a situation where it had ample opportunity for growth, so we started to look for a second site.
"We came across Little Growbags in Bransford last year and immediately fell in love with the nursery. It had been operating since 2004, had a wonderful owner and a really lovely ethos."

Mr Shah said there are plans in effect to expand the site in Bransford to meet the nursery's high standards.
He said: "Once the takeover was fully completed, we were able to start planning for the future.
"Currently, we have a staff of the new site, but we already have had planning permission to construct a new pre-school building and to also develop the main house where the nursery is currently.
"It can be really tough to recruit in this industry and a lot of people often leave for less stressful roles or higher pay.
"However, we have been able to both retain and grow our team to what it is today."

Mr Shah said the team at Little Lodge Bransford already have their eyes on achieving an 'outstanding' Ofsted rating for their new site.
In February last year, we reported that Little Lodge Nursery had been awarded an outstanding Ofsted rating.
He said: "We already have an outstanding rating from Ofsted and in around two-and-a-half years when Ofsted comes to inspect our new site, that is still our goal.
"We want to win accolades and be commended for what we do, for the parents, the children and also for all of our staff."
