A dog currently staying at Dogs Trust Evesham has been waiting to be rehomed for more than a year – could you help give Lexi a loving home?
Lexi is a crossbreed who is looking for a new home after her previous owner passed away.
The Dogs Trust Evesham team is hoping to find Lexi a loving family who can offer her the care, attention and security she deserves.
She is eight years old and she would make a great companion for someone who is looking for a relaxed and peaceful home environment.
Crossbreed Lexi has been at the centre for more than a year
Lexi has been looking for a new home for more than a year, hoping to find a loving and forever home where she can enjoy her retirement years.
Due to her age, Lexi does have some medical needs but despite these issues, Dogs Trust Evesham says she has an incredible amount of love and joy to offer, making her a wonderful addition to a loving family.
Chris Slight, Rehoming Centre Manager at Dogs Trust Evesham said: "Lexi is an amazing girl who has had her world turned upside down. She is an absolute sweetheart and deserves to find a permanent family where she can spend her golden years.
"Lexi's ideal home would be a calm and quiet environment, with a loving family who can provide her with the support she needs.
"Lexi is fantastic in a home environment and loves human company. She is a gentle soul who enjoys cuddles and affection. We can't wait for her to find a family that will give her the time, care, and love that she thoroughly deserves."
Lexi is currently staying in a foster home but she would love to have a permanent family who can provide her with both love and stability.
She is looking for a home that has a secure garden and no other dogs living there.
Lexi could live with children that are of a secondary school age and if she could live in a tranquil location, that would be ideal.
Dogs Trust Evesham calls for volunteer fosterers
Dogs Trust Evesham is looking for people who could become volunteer fosterers.
For more information about Lexi or to find out about other senior dogs available for adoption at Dogs Trust Evesham, arrange a visit, or apply to become a fosterer, you can visit the Dogs Trust website.
As a volunteer fosterer, you offer temporary homes for dogs like Lexi until their forever homes can be found.
Why dogs shouldn't eat chocolate
Fosterers provide an essential service for the charity, freeing up room in their kennels so more dogs can be supported and giving dogs the chance to receive some extra TLC in a home environment.
This is particularly important for older dogs like Lexi and for those recovering from veterinary treatment.
Dogs Trust covers all the costs involved in fostering, including food, veterinary care and grooming costs.
