THE reason behind delayed or cancelled trains in Worcester has been revealed.
Passengers were left fuming this morning (Wednesday) after trains between Worcester Foregate Street and Stratford-Upon-Avon were delayed or cancelled.
Services were able to resume at 8.40am but some knock-on disruption is expected to continue throughout the morning.
Some passengers claimed they had been stuck on a train for over half an hour.

And another one said: "Again your service is absolutely shocking."
A third passenger said the service was "unacceptable."
The disruptions affected people from across the West Midlands and one passenger travelling to Birmingham said the train had not arrived.
She said: "Whitlocks End to Birmingham SnowHill station says on time and running but it’s not here where is it?"
A spokesperson from West Midlands Railway said: "Services in Worcestershire were subject to disruption and cancellation on Wednesday morning due to a fault with the signalling system.
"Passengers whose journeys were delayed by 15 minutes or more as a result of the disruption should claim compensation via the Delay Repay scheme.”
