A BAND from Worcester played at one of the biggest music festivals in the country.
Chevy Chase Stole my Wife is a pop/rock band who were given the rare opportunity to play at Glastonbury Music Festival 2023.
Thousands of festival-goers made their way to Glastonbury where the festival was held at Worthy Farm between Wednesday (June 21) and Monday (June 26).
Emma Howett and the band debuted some songs from their upcoming album that have not yet been released.
Miss Howett is the singer and rhythm guitarist in the band and said performing at the festival was a dream come true.
The band also features Stuart Silcock, lead guitarist, Jamie Raynor, bass player, and Neil Burton, who is the drummer.
The band played on Thursday and Friday and the crowd loved their songs and even started to sing along.
Miss Howett said: "It's been exciting, exhausting and chaotic.
"We even had a request from someone in the crowd and that was amazing.
"People were dancing, our sets went really well.
"Everyone was singing along to some of our new songs.
"Even the crew afterwards was singing some of our songs back to us.
Miss Howett said she was excited to watch some of her favourite celebrities perform.
She even managed to get a selfie with Romeo from the rock band The Magic Numbers.
"It has been very crazy, I met Lana Del Ray and I watched Elton John live.
"It hasn't actually sunk in because we're still on the site, it'll be weird going home.
"I'm going to shower and go to sleep when I get home.
"But I'm excited to see my cats.
"The first new nights were hard work because we were performing and we were knackered.
"But after our sets, we were able to enjoy other performances.
"It's a lifelong memory and it's going to have for the rest of my life, it was amazing."
The band will also be performing at Wacky Weekender at Worcester Racecourse between Friday, July 21 and Sunday, July 23.
The group are also excited to celebrate their 10th anniversary this year.
Miss Howett said: "We've been together for 10 years this year and they do say it takes 10 years to make an overnight success, so we're right on target."
