POLICE have discovered a cannabis grow on a residential road in Worcester.
West Mercia Police officers were called to Knight Street in St Johns in the early hours of this morning.
A spokesperson for the force confirmed a drug-growing operation was discovered and investigations are now underway.
He said: “There is very limited information at the moment but police have interrupted what appears to be a cannabis grow.
“A cannabis grow was located at a property in Knight Street.
“Unknown persons were seen at that address last night and work is taking place today (June 17) to identify them.
“We will be working at the site today.”
City and county councillor Richard Udall took to Twitter to reassure residents following the police activity.
He said: "A serious incident took place last night in Knight Street in St John's, I understand Police were called at 3am.
"A number of arrests have been made and a property has been sealed off.
"I will be asking about safety and reassurance for residents."
West Mercia Police has not yet confirmed that any arrests have been made.
