SUMMER is officially here so we've put together a list of Blue Flag beaches you could visit that are definitely worth the trek.
We know we don't have any go-to beaches in Worcester, so we've put together a list of a few Blue Flag beaches you could visit this Summer.
The Blue Flag Award is an international scheme given to coastlines with the highest quality of water, facilities, safety and environmental education and management.
The awards can be used as a guide for people who are concerned about swimming in unclean sea water and potentially getting sick while visiting a beach.
And we're not going to try and convince you that these beaches are near Worcester, but they could be worth a trek this summer.
Trecco Bay Beach, Porthcawl
This Blue Flag Beach is hugely popular and known for its golden sands, and water quality for swimming and paddling.
This beach has made it onto the Blue Flag list for 14 years in a row.
Trecco Bay is four miles off the M4 motorway and it is quite straightforward to get to from Worcester via the M5.
The beach is 80 miles from Worcester and should take about two hours and a half to get to.
