The air ambulance has landed on the motorway following a crash.
The northbound M5 between junction 7 and 6 was closed by police following a crash, causing 40 minutes of tailbacks.
National Highways said the southbound carriageway was then also closed in order for the air ambulance to land.

“Emergency services are in attendance including West Mercia Police,” a spokesperson for National Highways West Midlands said.
Fire engines are at the scene along with paramedics and Midlands Air Ambulance.
