A CHILDREN'S entertainment business in Worcester has won a prestigious industry award.
The Doorstep Princesses have been awarded the Children's Business Award at The Muddy Awards 2023 for Worcestershire and Gloucestershire, run by Muddy Stilletos.
Nicole Powell and Amber Cox are entertainers that dress up as princesses and characters and can be hired for children's parties across Worcestershire.
Miss Powell said the award win was totally unexpected and the pair are looking forward to attending the official ceremony in July.

She said: "We were not expecting this at all but we were very happy with the news when it came through.
"We work a lot with the council, we do our mobile visits and we also have our location in Worcester as well, offering lots of different entertainment options for children.
"There is a formal ceremony next month which we will be going to and we are very excited about it."
In February, the duo opened a new venue, dubbed the Doorstep Kingdom, in Blackpole.
Children can choose from up to 80 different fairytale characters and superheroes.
The business initially started two years ago during lockdown because they wanted to give children a reason to smile amid the upheaval of the covid pandemic.

The business has over 5,000 followers on Facebook and was looking for more staff to join the team earlier this year, especially male entertainers.
The Muddy Awards 2023 had 77,000 businesses nominated and 800,000 votes cast in 2023.
Muddy Stilettos is described as the 'urban guide to the countryside in 28 counties across the UK'.
