THUNDERSTORMS did not stop people from flocking to enjoy a church and school fete.
People enjoyed the sunshine at Ombersley Church and School Fete was held in the field next to St Andrew's Church on Saturday, June 10 before the storms came.
However, even when the thunder and lightning began towards the end of the fete, the fun did not stop as people continued to enjoy the stalls on offer.
People watched on as the traditional maypole dancing got underway.
Youngsters took part in children’s fun races and enjoyed a number of games while pet owners took part in a dog show.
For foodies, they could enjoy Worcestershire-sourced barbecue food along with Indian cuisine.
During the hot weather, adults cooled off with a glass or two of Pimms, beers or fruit lemonades.
There was also a Tea Tent tempting people with a wide selection of homemade cakes and sweet treats.

Liz Hooper, one of the organisers, said everyone had a great day and particularly enjoyed throwing wet sponges at each other in the 'stocks'.
She said: "On a glorious day in June, what better way to spend an afternoon than at a Traditional English Fete?
"Families picnicking in the shade of the lovely trees, children finding 'treasure in the sand’ or throwing wet sponges at friends in the ‘stocks’ and beautiful hand-made crafts to buy helped bring a splendid community Feel to the whole event.
"Even the spectacular thunderstorm as the day ended didn’t deter the wonderful local volunteers as they de-rigged the marquees in the pouring rain.
"That's community for you."
Next month will see the village host its third Ombersley Car Show on Saturday, July 15.
Organisers promise this year will be "bigger than ever" with attractions for all ages.
Visitors will be able to get up close with a number of veteran, vintage and classic cars, motorbikes and lorries which will be on show from 12pm to 5pm.
There will also be trade stands, a bar, along with a community tea shop selling home-made cakes and ice cream.
People will be able to enjoy entertainment by Voices Unlimited along with children’s activities.
