A DERELICT pub has received extra security after a spate of vandalism.
Perdiswell House, a former Harvester on the outskirts of Worcester, has received stronger reinforced walls around the site's perimeter to protect the abandoned property.
It comes after the former pub's windows were shattered and walls painted with graffiti when it was broken into earlier this year.

The original perimeter fence had a wide part missing, and play balls from the old Wacky Warehouse could be seen littering the car park and drifting onto Droitwich Road.
The former restaurant closed its doors in April 2019 after owners Mitchells & Butlers decided to sell up, just three years after investing in a major refurbishment.
Since then, it has sat empty with controversy surrounding its future.
In 2022, plans to knock down the dilapidated building and replace it with a 78-bed care home were rejected by Worcester City Council’s planning committee.
That decision came just weeks after a fire broke out in the abandoned building.
In December, fresh plans for a care home were drawn up after the original plan was labelled “ugly and depressing” by councillors.

The care home provider MACC Care was told to go back to the drawing board by councillors, and the application was put forward again, cutting the number of beds from 78 to 76.
However, residents feared this new plan would turn Claines into a "ghetto".
They had argued that the area already has enough care homes, with one opposite the designated site.
Another concern was raised by Malcolm Nixon, who said some parts of Perdiswell's house date back to the 1840s and must be preserved.
And if the application goes ahead, the house will be knocked down.
In response, a spokesperson for MACC Care said that the building is not listed, is unsuitable for conversion and has been assessed as a non-designated heritage asset.
They also mentioned there is a growing need for care homes in Claines.
As of June 14, 2023, the plans decison has been pending.
