A city centre pub is among the latest Worcester businesses awarded a five-star hygiene rating.
The Imperial Tavern, in St Nicholas Street, got full marks from the Food Standards Agency.
Landlord Fred Jones said: “We are absolutely delighted to receive a five star rating, which is down to the hard work and attention to detail of the entire team.”
Catering firm SB Kitchen was also given a five-star rating.
The company, run by Shaista Begum, delivers home-cooked Halal Asian meals in and around the city.
Shaista said she was “very pleased” to be given the rating.
She added: “It’s so lovely to see what was just an idea at the beginning transform into a business where I can implement my passion for cooking every day.”
Other businesses around Worcester awarded the five-star rating in the past month include Alliance at Blessed Edward Oldcorne Catholic College, Bills in Chapel Walk, Cafe Afloat at Diglis Basin, El Mexicana at The Cross, and Fizco at The Hopmarket 5.
