A BAND from Worcester will be playing at one of the biggest music festivals in the country this year.
Chevy Chase Stole My Wife will be playing at Glastonbury Festival 2023.
Thousands of festival-goers will be making their way to Glastonbury where the festival is held at nearby Worthy Farm between Wednesday (June 21) and Monday (June 26).
Emma Howett said the band was over the moon when they found out they will be playing at Field of Avalon on Thursday and Friday evenings.
The rock/pop band will also be debuting some songs from their new album before the release date.
Miss Howett said: "We are so excited, it doesn't feel real but it is a dream come true.
"There are so many incredible bands in Worcester and we hope to represent the city and do Worcester proud.
"We are going to be playing some new songs from our upcoming album for the first time at Glastonbury, which is very exciting but also nerve-wracking.
"If you told me we were playing at Glastonbury at the start of the year, I would have said 'really how?'"
She said it would be her dream to play at Glastonbury, adding: "It is every musician's dream to play at Glastonbury.
"But the band is so psyched and we are all going camping together at the festival.
"We do a lot of things together as a band anyway, so to be able to perform at Glastonbury together is amazing.
"For most bands, Glastonbury is the biggest place to play."
The band is also hoping to enjoy the festival and has already highlighted which artists they are most looking forward to watching.
"I'm hoping to watch Elton John and Lana Del Ray, I love her."
