A PHARMACY has closed suddenly with customers handed notes apologising for the situation.
Worcestershire Pharmacy Services (WPS) has been based at Unit 16 at the Top Barn Business Centre in Holt.
'Shocked' staff claim they have handed out all outstanding prescriptions amid the surprise closure.
In a note handed out to customers, staff at Worcestershire Pharmacy Services wrote: "To our valued patient.
"We are not sure if you are aware on Friday, (May 26), we received notification that WPS was put into administration and we are no longer able to operate as a pharmacy.
"I'm sure this will have come as much of a shock to you as it has to us.
"We have returned all outstanding prescriptions, which you will be able to access at any alternative pharmacy.
"Apologies for the vague letter but as you can appreciate we are all rather upset.
"That you for your continued support.
"From all of us at WPS."
A reporter visited the site today (Wednesday) and the unit's shutters were down.
On the outside of the building, the pharmacy's mention on the unit information board has also been removed.
On Companies House website the listing for the business contains no mention of the firm being in administration or any further information.
The dispensing chemist's accounts are filed up to March 31 the next being due in December.
WPS' website, worcestershirepharmacy.co.uk, appears to still be active but also features no mention of the firm going into administration.

The blogs section of the website doesn't seem to have been updated since 2019 and the phone number is not working.
The pharmacy advertised itself as "Worcester's first online distance selling pharmacy, providing a fresh way to get your NHS prescriptions delivered to where you need them free of charge".
The last post on the firm's Facebook page was on May 26 last year.
