A FARM famed for its ice cream has opened one of its biggest projects yet, just in time for half term.
A new adventure playground and zip wire has opened at Churchfields Farm.
Owners of the family-run business, Gillian and Will Kerton, are over the moon with how it turned out.
"The new adventure playground and zip wire is probably one of Churchfields' biggest projects yet,” they said.
“We've had this on our list to build for some time so are delighted to finally get it open.
“The team have worked around the clock to try and open at half term and we're delighted we did.
“It's great watching the kids explore all the different elements, we hope that our customers have as much fun playing in it as we've had designing it."

The play area was designed with help from Touchwood Play.
It opened to the public for the first time on Bank Holiday Monday (May 29) and has already proved to be a hit, with five-year-old Edward Martire the first to try it out.
“It was awesome, I loved the giant wooden tractor.” he said.
Dad Rick added: “The new adventure play area at Churchfields farm is amazing.
"So much thought has been put into it and it really adds to the value of the day out.”
The playground and zip wire is the latest addition to the offerings at Churchfields.
Last summer, giant inflatable bouncers were installed alongside a go-kart track.
This is in addition to the Fairy Trail, animal paddocks, giant sandpit and pedal tractor zone already at the farm.
And there is yet more to come, with plans for a glamping site approved by Wychavon District Council last month.

The project will see four new glamping pods – designed to look like farm animal shelters to fit in – installed alongside two new ‘amenity’ pods with showers and toilets for the camping site with space for around 14 pitches in total.
Mr Kerton said at the time: "We look forward to welcoming guests to the farm to stay and enjoy the setting of the Salwarpe Valley.
"Plans are to have the camping up and running for the summer and pods for the autumn."
The new adventure playground is currently included in the Magical May event ticket.
However, after half term it will be open at weekends as part of the Fun Farm ticket.
Churchfields has said to ensure customers receive the best experience, pre-booking is encouraged, as the park limits the number of guests at any one time.
It is also cheaper to book online and while tickets are sometimes available on the door, they often run out quickly during busy periods.
