A CANALSIDE pub has come out on top after going from a one to five-star food hygiene rating.
The Bridge in Tibberton was given a one-star rating in March, but a new landlady, Lynne Bisset, has made the pub turn a corner.
Mrs Bisset and Luke Conroy, chef and manager, took over the pub this March and made it their mission to improve its standard.

Mrs Bisset said: "We worked so hard to get this.
"We had to close the place for two weeks to make it to this level.
"Luke had scrubbed the kitchen for three whole days to keep up to standard - there were a lot of issues, but those issues have been sorted.
"It has made me so happy we did it, and the village is so happy too.
"I have had so much support from them, with them coming into the pub to thank me."
Previously, an overview of the inspection on the FSA website stated that urgent improvement was necessary for the cleanliness, condition of facilities and buildings and how food was handled.
However, now the FSA has commended the pub's layout, ventilation, hand-washing facilities and pest control.

It also mentioned that the food safety officer had confidence that standards would be maintained in future.
Mrs Bisset has also agreed to allow campers and vans to pitch for free overnight at the pub if they eat and use its facilities.
She added: "I am sure customers will now have good food, and we take pride in what we serve and how we treat people."
Stuart Taylor, business development manager at Admiral Taverns, said: "I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of everyone at Admiral Taverns to thank Lynne for all her hard work and dedication at The Bridge Inn.
"Since taking over earlier this year, she has worked tirelessly to create a warm and welcoming environment for her customers and to bring the pub to the heart of the community. I look forward to seeing what's in store for her and wish her all the best for the future!"
