EXASPERATED staff at a Royal British Legion Club are letting people know they are still open after being affected by roadworks at either end of a road
Claines Royal British Legion Club got an 'unexpected surprise' after two separate sets of roadworks started on either end of Cornmeadow Lane - one from Claines Lane and the other from Ombersley Road.
The works have caused residents to use diversion routes to access their properties and the club.

Cadent Gas has been for both works due to them replacing old gas mains in the area.
Staff at the club have reassured customers that they are still open after they claim they received no notification about the works.
A Claines Royal British Legion Club spokesperson said: "Thanks to the idiots at Cadent.
"We have discovered that Cornmeadow Lane is closed at both ends - from Claines Lane and also from Ombersley Road.
"We had no notification of this whatsoever.
"We are still open.
"To get to the club, you will need to go up Ombersley Road to the New Inn and turn into Whinfield Road.
"Then turn right into Elizabeth Avenue, left to Philip Road and left again onto Cornmeadow Lane."

The road closure on Winfield Road, which branches onto Cornmeadow Lane, will be removed tomorrow (Saturday).
The remaining closure is planned to be removed on Friday, June 2.
A spokesperson for Cadent said: “The works that we are currently undertaking are planned works to replace the gas main in the area.
"This is to futureproof our network for years to come and to prepare it for the introduction of hydrogen.
“The road closures were agreed by the local authority, and access to the RBL has been maintained via the diversion route.
"Of course, we understand that this will be a source of frustration to road users and residents, and we thank them for their patience.
“There are currently two road closures. We are aiming to have the road closure on Winfield Road removed by May 27, with the remaining closure on Cornmeadow Lane aiming to be removed on June 2.
“The closures have been necessary to allow us to carry out the works as quickly and as safely as possible.”
