A SUSPECTED drug dealer arrested after a dramatic chainsaw raid on a tower block has now been bailed as investigations continue.
We reported live on the arrest of the suspected heroin and crack cocaine dealer at Wells Tower in Rodney Close in Birmingham on Wednesday morning.
The arrest was made by detectives from the County Lines drugs team, based at Worcester Police Station, in connection with suspected dealing in Worcester city centre and St John's.
Officers from West Mercia Police equipped with body armour and helmets cut a hole in the door of the fifth floor at around 7.15am.
The 22-year-old suspect was led away in handcuffs to a police van and taken to Worcester Police Station after he was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said the suspect had been bailed 'to allow for further evidence gathering to take place'.
