AN elderly woman who was left fighting for her life after suffering multiple stab wounds is in a stable condition but remains in hospital.
The 71-year-old woman was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham in a critical condition on Sunday morning (May 7).
Police were called to Kleve Walk in Worcester at 2am and cordoned off the path between Diglis Parade and Copenhagen Street car park until the afternoon.

A spokesperson from West Mercia Pollice said: "The victim of the attempted murder is in a stable condition but remains in hospital."
Anthony Roberts, 56, of Amber Heights, Green Hill, Worcester, has been charged with attempted murder, sexual assault and possession of a bladed article in a public place.
Roberts has been remanded in custody after being charged with attempted murder and sexual assault.
The 56-year-old appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on Monday (May 8).
Roberts only spoke to confirm his name, age, and address during an eight-minute hearing.

Roberts was flanked by a security officer in the glass-fronted dock and looked downwards for much of the hearing, which heard legal submissions from prosecutor Kate Hatton and defence lawyer Mark Turnbull.
There was no application for bail and Roberts was remanded to appear at the city's crown court on Monday, June 5.
