THERE has been a drop in crime according to new figures released by West Mercia Police.
The drop in crime is shown in the data which reveals the types of crime reported, as well as their location.
There were 998 crimes reported across the city in March - the latest month of data released by the force.
This is down on the 1,008 crimes in February, 1,147 in January, 1,100 crimes in December and 1,077 crimes reported across the city in November.
The most common type of crime in March was violence and sexual assault which had 360 reports.
Second on the list was anti-social behaviour with 163 reports.
And the third most prevalent crime in February was shoplifting, which had 93 reports.

There were 36 burglaries reported including ones in Perry Wood Close, Northwick Avenue, and Battenhall Avenue.
There were 17 possession of weapons offences including ones reported in Lowesmoor Terrace, Northwick Avenue and Fielden Row.
Violence and sexual offences crimes reportedly took place at Worcestershire Royal Hospital and ASDA in Silver Street.
A crime in the category "other crime" reportedly happened at Sainsbury's in Windermere Drive while there was a report of shoplifting in Aldi in Northwick Avenue.
