THERE is a chance of thunder this afternoon according to Met Office's weather predictions. 

It has been a cloudy start for many people across the city with occasional sunny spells.

But people should expect hail and potential thunder from 1pm on today (May 9).

Despite this, temperatures are expected to reach highs of 18C. 

There may even be chances of seeing a rainbow as in the evening we should expect showers mixed with plenty of late sunshine.

And temperatures will reach highs of 10C.

There is another chance of thunder on Wednesday alongside light winds and temperatures reaching highs of 16C.

Sunny spells and showers have been predicted on Thursday.

But the rest of the week has been predicted to be dry with cloudy skies.
