A WOMAN has been warned about her future behaviour by a magistrate after admitting an assault on a police officer.

Natasha Prewitt, of Checketts Lane, Worcester, admitted a charge of common assault of an emergency worker when she appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on Thursday, (May 4).

Mark Hambling, prosecuting, said, after reviewing footage, he could see Prewitt lifted her leg describing it as an "innocuous kick" towards PC O'Mahony who was behind the defendant.

"You cannot see any physical contact," the prosecutor said.

Gary Harper, defending, said the 43-year-old was "mortified" to be in court having never been in trouble before.

Magistrates gave Prewitt a conditional discharge of six months explaining it meant she would be double punished if she committed an offence in that period.

Prewitt was ordered to pay £75 costs and £26 victim surcharge - the £101 total to be deducted from her benefits.
