A NATIONAL boxing champion from Nunnery Wood High School has been named in the England squad for the next year.
Year 10 pupil Jayden Bryce, of Worcester City Amateur Boxing Club, is performing at the top of his boxing game and after successfully winning all recent competitive matches this year, Bryce has now been crowned National Champion and been selected for England.
In March this year, Bryce was crowned 3 times Midlands Champion for the Junior Cadet category. He then competed in the Junior Nationals Championships quarter-finals rounds and he won unanimously.
Following on from this, Jayden went through to the semi-finals rounds and into the finals, where he was crowned National Champion and now he will represent England.
Bryce has been boxing since he was very young and trains five times per week at Worcester City ABC.
He said: "My goal is to represent my country in Boxing and to become a pro-boxer."
