A MAN is accused of false imprisonment.
Jamie Ruff, of Hipkiss Gardens, Droitwich, appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court for the first hearing of the case.
The charge the 32-year-old faces reads that he is accused, on February 14 this year, of unlawfully and injuriously imprisoning the victim, a woman, detaining her against her will.
During the short hearing at Worcester Magistrates Court on Thursday, (April 27) chairman of the magistrates bench, Judith Hulland, told Ruff the case could not be heard at magistrates court with it needing to be sent up to the higher crown court.
Ruff, who was given conditional bail, was told to attend the next hearing of the case at Worcester Crown Court on May 25.
