RESIDENTS across Worcester could be elidable to receive £900 this year.
The government has revealed it will provide a Cost of Living Payment to those struggling with rising bills, food and accommodation.
Families within Worcester received £301 yesterday (Tuesday), followed by two further payment instalments totalling just over £900.

About 11,300 families in Worcester are set to benefit from the Cost of Living Payment, and a further 9,200 individuals will also get a Disability Cost of Living Payment of £150.
The payments are made directly to each person, with no need to apply or do anything to receive it.
In addition to the means-tested cost of living support, the Energy Price Guarantee will continue to help keep household energy bills as low as possible – ensuring the typical family pays no more than £2,500 for their energy bills until the end June this year.

MP Robin Walker said: “Households are facing rising living costs in the wake of Putin’s illegal war in Ukraine, and the Conservative Government is rightly protecting the most vulnerable people in Worcester.
“11,300 families in Worcester are eligible for a further means-tested cost of living payment worth £301 from today and £900 in total for 2023-4.
“These payments will give families much-needed support, protecting vulnerable people who are the most exposed to rising prices.”
