A WOMAN's trial for racially abusing two alleged victims has been delayed. 

Danielle McGarrity, of Chatcombe Drive, Worcester, appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on Monday, (April 24) expecting her trial to go ahead. 

But at the start of the hearing magistrates heard key witnesses were not in attendance. 

The 31-year-old denies two charges of racially/religiously aggravated intentional harassment/alarm/distress - words/writing. 

Both offences are alleged by the prosecution to have taken place on June 3 last year.

Lewin McFarlane and Dwayne McFarlane, the alleged victims, are neighbours to the defendant. 

After deliberations on if the case could proceed chairman of the magistrates bench, Nicola Phillips, announced they had decided in the interests of justice and a fair trial the case would be adjourned. 

McGarrity, who was given unconditional bail, was told to attend her trial which was rescheduled for Monday, July 24.

McGarrity was warned not to commit an offence while on bail, and the chairman also warned her is she did not attend the trial she risked it going ahead in her absence.
