'DEVASTATED' caravan owners were shocked to get a letter 'out of the blue' giving them their marching orders from their beloved city caravan park.
'Flabbergasted' residents at the Ketch Caravan Park off Bath Road in Worcester have been sent letters by Tremlo Limited, telling them to leave and remove their holiday homes by October 31 this year.
The Worcester News has been told by residents there are about 60 caravans on the site, overlooking the river Severn, including statics and touring caravans. We understand residents received the letters, which they say came 'out of the blue', on Tuesday and many are still weighing up their options and others have yet to open their letters.
Peter Ells, 78, said the letter from Tremlo Limited arrived at his Wiltshire home, informing him he would have to move on. He said he paid fees of £2,500 in March.
The 78-year-old said: "I'm devastated. I have had a caravan there for five years and six months. Since we bought it that was our holiday every year.
"I haven't got a clue what I'm going to do with my static caravan. I can't put it on another site because it's one of the older ones. It will have to be broken up on site."
He said people come from as far away as Manchester and Bolton to stay at the caravan park.
Liz Hardwick and her husband Robert, both 56, have been coming to the site for 13 years and bought their static six years ago for £10,500 'because we love the place so much'.

Mrs Hardwick, who comes to the park every weekend with her husband, said: "I think it's disgusting really, the way we have been treated. There has been no consultation. It was a bolt out of the blue, a really big shock."
She said the letter had no telephone number or email address to allow them to complain or discuss the issue. Mrs Hardwick, who is from Walsall, describes the static caravan as the couple's second home. "We are absolutely flabbergasted," she said.
They have heard unconfirmed rumours the park will be used for luxury lodges and pods.
The letter reads: "You will need to leave the Park by that date and to make arrangements to remove the holiday home and any other personal possessions from the Park by no later than November 30, 2023 (being one month from the date of termination).
"The Agreement will of course remain in force until October 31, 2023, and you will be entitled to continue to occupy the holiday home until that date."
The Worcester News reporter arrived at the caravan park but was denied entry to the caravan park which is behind electric gates and monitored by CCTV.
However, the reception team provided the reporter with a mobile telephone number for who they said was the owner of the caravan park.
When called, however, he denied he was the owner and declined to give further details or supply a telephone number for the owner.
He said: "I'm not going to go into great detail."
We could find no telephone number for Tremlo which is based at Analyst House in Peel Road, Douglas on the Isle of Man. Companies House shows the limited company is listed as an overseas entity.
