A CANNABIS and cocaine drug dealer who refused to give police the pin to his mobile phone is now behind bars.
Aidan Collins was caught after police attended his home in Field House Gardens, Wyld's Lane, Worcester in February this year,
Philip Beardwell, prosecuting, told Worcester Crown Court police originally attended the property to arrest the 23-year-old for another matter but on arrival officers found drugs.
The search revealed bags of cocaine and cannabis as well as drug paraphernalia including sets of scales.
Notebooks with amounts listed as well as cash further linked Collins to illegal drug dealing.
The prosecutor said the total amounts of the drugs discovered were 76 grams of cocaine and two-and-a-half kilograms of cannabis.
Mr Beardwell added an aggravating factor was Collins failed to give police the pin to his mobile phone with the suspicion it would provide information on his role in the drug dealing operation.

Collins previously admitted possession with intent to supply cocaine and cannabis; failing to provide a PIN number and possession of LSD, MDMA and benzylpiperazine (diazepam) appearing on videolink to court for sentence.
Belinda Ariss, defending, said the defendant had been struggling with a drug addiction for many years and his addiction "spiralled out of control", leading to him owing thousands in drug debts and becoming a dealer.
Mrs Ariss said: "He says going to custody is a wake-up call for him."
She added the defendant had not been "high up the tree" but part of a chain in the drug dealing operation.
Sentencing Collins His Honour Judge Nicholas Cartwright said it was clear Collins had played a "significant role" and would have known the full extent of the conspiracy.
The judge added he recognised Collins had mental health issues at the time of the offending, but not to the extent it reduced his culpability.
Collins was jailed for a total of 45 months.
After the hearing Detective Constable Damian Fitzmaurice, of South Worcestershire integrated offender management who was involved in the case, said: “The extent of Collins’s offending behaviour was uncovered when we caught him unawares at his home address.
"This is a significant sentence and highlights the dim view that the judiciary and police take on drugs related offences.”
The case was heard on Wednesday, (April 19).
