A WORCESTER man has questioned why he was faced with a 44-mile round trip to get his fourth covid jab.
Tony Webb, of Brookside Road, in St John's, attempted to book his covid jab online after receiving a text message.
However, he was astounded to find the nearest location he could receive the vaccine was in Lye, near Stourbridge.

He said: "It did not seem right to me so I called 119 as the NHS website states for more details but they were not aware of why that was the nearest location.
"There were other locations that were venturing further into the suburbs of Birmingham which also were not suitable.
"My question is, why is the text being sent out if there are no available locations in Worcester?"
People are usually notified by text or a phone call, but people may sometimes get a letter or a notification in the NHS App.
People may be offered a seasonal booster if they are aged 75 or over, live in a care home for older adults or are aged five or over and have a weakened immune system.

David McDowell, patient quality manager at Worcester City PCN, said that despite GP surgeries will be inviting eligible people directly.
He said: "With the Spring Booster cohort this season being much smaller than previous rollouts, our fantastic local GP practices will be inviting patients directly—so any patients who are eligible should wait to be invited by their practice, who’ll be in touch in due course.
"Eligible patients may also receive texts and letters from the NHS with information on the large-scale vaccination centres, but these are likely to be outside our local area—so if you’d prefer not to travel, please do hold on, as you’ll be contacted by your practice with an appointment date in the next few weeks.”
Booster doses of the Covid-19 vaccines are offered seasonally, and if you are eligible for a booster dose you can get it from three months after your previous dose.
