A 60-YEAR-old man has admitted sexual assault and exposing his genitals at Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

Michael Sefton, previously of Pershore, now faces a wait to learn if he will go to jail.

Sefton appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court and indicated guilty pleas to two offences of sexual assault and exposure.

The court heard both offences took place on April 25 last year.

Magistrates heard Sefton intentionally touched a woman sexually without her consent and exposed his genitals - intending that someone would see them and be caused alarm or distress - at the hospital.

Magistrates told Sefton, of Stanhope Way, Great Barr, Birmingham, their powers were insufficient to sentence him.

He was told to attend Worcester Crown Court on May 12 for his sentence.

Magistrates gave Sefton unconditional bail and said he should work with the probation service for them to produce a pre-sentence report ahead of the hearing.

Sefton is no stranger to the courts and appeared numerous times in the newspapers.

In the past Sefton has been in court for making time-wasting calls to the emergency services, and making a public nuisance by keeping neighbours awake with loud music.
