A PLAY set to come to Malvern Theatres has been cancelled after not enough people bought tickets.
Helen Lederer and Michael Starke were set to star in the retelling of a comedy called Birds and Bees this Summer.
And the cast was going to tour England over the summer.
The Canadian comedy written by Mark Crawford was set to be retold for a UK audience as the play relocated from modern-day Canada to Norfolk.
But the show has been cancelled.
The play is a New Wolsey Theatre Ipswich, Norwich Theatre, and Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds co-production.
A spokesperson said: "The Producers regret that they have had to take the decision to cancel the tour of The Birds and the Bees.
"This decision was not taken lightly, but it remains the case that the current market for touring drama is highly challenging in terms of attracting audiences."
The tour was set to visit Guildford, Southend, Malvern, Norwich, Richmond, Milton Keynes, Glasgow, Swansea, Cheltenham, Barnstaple, Blackpool, Birmingham, Bromley and Darlington.
