A 20-YEAR-old man has denied ABH and theft.
Ryan Lock, of Barbourne Road, Worcester, pleaded not guilty to two charges when they were read to him by a court clerk at Worcester Magistrates Court.
The prosecution alleges Lock committed the assault on April 10 last year and stole from the same victim in Worcester on the same day.
Lock had the choice between having his trial at magistrates or by jury at a crown court and when asked by a court clerk he replied: "Magistrates court".
Lock, who appeared on videolink to the court, was told his trial would take place at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on May 22.

Lock was told he would be remanded in custody during the hearing on April 7.
- Lock's co-accused in the ABH and theft refused to come up from the cells to give his pleas to the same charges.
Oliver Brighton, 20, of no fixed abode was also scheduled to appear at the court on videolink.
Magistrates decided to adjourn his case until April 13.
